KVG Power Head

The KVG engine has been a staple in the oil and gas industry for 50 years with over 250 engines operating in North America alone. Cameron now offers an improved cylinder head to service those engines.

Why introduce a new design head?
Create a head with less flow restrictions...Lower head temperatures...Reduce the risk of cracking and premature failure.

What are the design differences?
Reposition air start valve core...Increase bore behind intake and exhaust valve seat areas...Add area between lower to upper jacket core...Add fillet for strengthen the lower jacket.

Where is the proof of our design success?
Two prototype heads installed in January, 2006...Run time exceeds 2,500 hours...Confirmation made of higher performance, lower temperatures, and better air flow

When will this head be available?
Foundry is currently pouring quality castings...Heads available February, 2008
